Reception Report

Last weekend, my wife and I shot a reception for some friends from college. She shot with her G5 and I with my GH3. To make a moderately long story relatively short, both cameras did great.
We started with some outdoor portraits of the couple. Of course, with good lighting, both cameras did great. Final image quality was excellent and I was yet again surprised by the dynamic range from the GH3. The G5 put in a great showing too, recovering some highlights which looked blown and some shadows which looked blocked and making a shot with otherwise fairly poor lighting actually look quite decent.
Face tracking is an excellent technology and helped us shoot more quickly and accurately and resulting in nearly zero shots with missed focus.
Again, to truncate the lugubrious longevity, these cameras were stellar performers and produced some fantastic images. Head over to the Facebook page if you want to see for yourself.
